The Victoria Falls are situated on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. Many say they prefer seeing the falls from the Zambian side as it is less touristy and not as commercialised. Tourism has certainly been picking up with top notch accommodation and activities being offered here as well.

At 22 400km², Kafue is a huge tract of land stretching over the southern parts of the country. The landscape changes from the lush wetland wonderland of the south, to the seasonal floodplains of the Busanga plains in the north-west and the central grasslands. This is Big Five country, with large herds of elephant, zebra and buffalo and over 400 bid species.

The Luangwa valley is a beautiful region with several protected areas of which the South Luangwa National Park is best-known. It is part of the Great Rift Valley's geological formation, with the Luangwa River flowing somewhat 800m below the surrounding plateau. The vegetation includes both grassy plains and dense woodland and the game and birdlife is rich and varied - which is why it is one of Zambia - and Africa's - finest national parks.
