An Elephant Back Safari in Zimbabwe is an unforgettable experience and unique way of interacting with wildlife during your African vacation. The Elephant Back Safari ride takes between one and three hours, with time before and after the actual ride to interact with the elephants.  Each elephant comes with a handler and personal carer, known as an Induna.  The Indunas have a strong relationship with, and great affection for the individual elephant in their care, and they can provide detailed information about the personal history and specific needs of each elephant.

Elephant Back Safari rides are available in the morning or afternoon.  During the tour, you will gain an appreciation for the elephant’s intelligence and witness the elephant’s unique place in its environment.  You are also likely to see many other species of African wildlife on the tour, such as giraffe, zebra, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, wildebeest, and more.  There is also a great variety of bird life to see as well.
