Dive off a bridge in Victoria Falls. This was once the highest bungi jump in the world, leaping of the Victoria Falls bridge is still a firm favourite…
Enjoy the spectacular scenery as you dive off the bridge at Victoria Falls! Until recently, the plunge into the Zambezi River was considered the highest commercial jump in the world. At 111 meters, this is arguably the best bungi jump in the world. The Victoria Falls bungi jump is a heart-stopping thrill second to none – giving you the bungi experience of a lifetime! Photographs and a video of each bungi jump are available soon after the jump, capturing your moment of free-falling fun!
The bridge, where the jump takes place, crosses between the border posts of Zambia and Zimbabwe, in what is known as “no man’s land”. As such, jumpers and spectators must indicate to the immigration officials that they are only proceeding onto the bridge and then returning through the same border post. Immigration officials will then issue two Gates Passes, one of which must be kept for re-entry through the same border post. The BV (bridge visit) gate passes do not entitle clients to visit Zambia or vice versa. Jumpers must have their passports stamped for exit by the relevant immigration authorities before proceeding to the next country!
Bungi jumps are available every day, between 09h00 and 16h00 during low-water season (July to February) and between 10h00 and 16h00 during high water season (March to June). The registration area is set up adjacent to the bridge on the Zambian bank of the Zambezi River. Clients must allow for sufficient time to get from Victoria Falls town to the border, through Customs & Immigration, then down to the bridge and up to the registration area to check in. Walking time and customs formalities can take approximately 45 minutes.
Operation:
No previous experience is necessary. No special clothing or equipment is necessary.
